Hello y'all. My name is Atthaphan. I'm 16 years-old and I'm foreign exchange student of I.S.E. I lived in San Antonio, Texas with a very nice host family.

I went to Samuel Clemens High School in a small city by San Antonio. My school is kinda big. There are about 2,500 students over there and most people who I knew were nice to me. Schools in America are the same in Thailand just different that you don't have to wear a uniform to school and also start from Freshmen (M.3) to Senior (M.6). Anyway I'm taking 7 subjects. My first period is English. This subject is so hard to me. I have to do everything by myself. My teacher never helps me and she is grading very hard so my grade in this subject was so bad but that's all right for me. My second period is Health. This one is really cool. My teacher is so nice. He gives me a lot of advices and introduced me to all of my friends in that class and especially this subject is so easy. I always got an A in this subject every time that we had tested. My third period is easy too. It's about computers. My friends in this subject are nice to me. I have one guy who is sitting by me in this subject. He is so weird and really cool. He talks to me all the time and this is so different from my fourth period that I don't know anybody in this class. Actually I knew some but not a lot. Most people in this class are smart. They're always serious about studying. At lunch, I hung out with foreign exchange students from other countries. We have so much fun together. But I don't really like the guy from Brazil. He is so stuck-up and he might think that he is cool or something. Anyway my sixth period is Food Science. It's about cooking. We have to cook every week (I don't really like this period but it's very easy to get an A). My seventh period is Keyboarding. This one is all right. Most people in this class are black people but they're all nice to me because they knew that I was exchange student. And the last one is U.S. History. This subject is so cool. I really love this subject so much. My teacher and all of my friends are nice to me. We have many tests and activities to do and I also get a lot of help from my friends. And that's all of the classes that I have in America for 10 months.

Most of America people are different from Thai people. Don't care what they think of people like my host family that I used to stay with. They were mean to me sometimes. They didn't care about me and always made me upset. I had to adjust myself for everything. But they were still mean to me. I contacted my area representative about these problems 3 times until I moved to stay with a very nice host family in a new city but still in the same school. But anyway it does not matter to me now because I got a real fun and cool life in America since I moved to stay with a new host family. They bought me many cool things and I l also get free food. I really loved them.

I went traveling a lot in America. First time, I went to Corpus Christi in the South of Texas and stayed with Phat (One of exchange student of I.S.E. from Thailand). We went to the beach and a huge big ship in the coast. And the second time, I went to Corpus Christi again with my organization on Spring Break. There were many exchange-students that went down there on that time for celebration. We spent one night in Corpus Christi before left to South Padre and Mexico. We had a lot of fun over there. In San Antonio, there is one place that is very cool for tourist. That's The River Walk. It's so beautiful especially during Christmas time. There were a lot of lights and many people. There was the parade that was so long and really cool. If you come to San Antonio, you better go to this place. And one place by there is The Almo. It's like a history place same as Ayutthaya that has many stories that we should know.

There are many things that I would like to let y'all know but I can't even type on this because I'm lazy and I think the story that I already typed on above is enough for you guys to read. Living in America is so different. But you will learn many cool things that will touch you life. I've learned how to communicate, different cultures, and also different languages. I hope you guys enjoy reading my story in America.
